Walker’s musical style has been described as electronic dance music and synth-pop and usually features pitched-down vocal samples. His debut studio album, Different World, was released on 14 December 2018.

Alan Walker was born in Northampton, England, on 24 August 1997 to Norwegian parents. He moved to Bergen, Norway when he was two years old. Walker began making music at the age of 10 using FL Studio and Logic Pro software. At the age of 16, he released his debut single “Eyes Closed”, which he had been working on since the age of 15.

In 2015, Walker released the single “Faded”, which quickly became a global hit. The song was certified platinum in ten countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2016, he released the singles “Sing Me to Sleep” and “Alone”. In 2017, he collaborated with Sia on the single “Beautiful Lies”.

In 2018, Walker released his debut studio album Different World, which peaked at number four on the UK Dance Chart. The album included the singles “All Falls Down”, “The Spectre” and “Darkside”.
