Lipa’s self-titled debut album was released on 2 June 2017. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It produced seven singles, including two UK top-10 singles: “Be the One” and “IDGAF”, and the UK number-one single “New Rules”, which also peaked at number six in the US.
In November 2018, Lipa received the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act. At the 2019 Grammy Awards, Lipa won Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording for “Electricity”.
